11,600 local jobs have been protected and £12.2 million paid out to self-employed people in North West Hampshire through the government’s various coronavirus economic support packages.I’m incredibly grateful to the Treasury and Chancellor Rishi Sunak for both the speed and depth of the financial support and because of this, our community economy has hunkered down and our rebuilding can now begin in earnest.I am very aware that for many people this has been a very difficult financial period and so it’s now up to us to step up, and support the local businesses that make up our High Streets and neighbourhoods and get the local economy moving again.
