The Armed Forces have deep roots in Andover and we should all be proud that Army Headquarters has its home in the town. It makes Remembrance Day all the more solemn and important to have the Army in our community.
This Sunday I joined the procession to St Mary’s Church for the laying of wreaths and silent reflection on those who made the ultimate sacrifice so we could be free and safe.
As always, the townspeople turned out for the fallen, with our corner of Hampshire showing that the Armed Forces will always have a place in our thoughts.
