December is here and at the top of so many constituents’ Christmas lists is good quality broadband. Now, it might not have got the news coverage it deserves this week amongst everything else in the Autumn Statement, but the Chancellor has made a bold decision to exempt broadband infrastructure from business rates. At a stroke he has removed one of the major barriers to the investment and made the market a much more competitive place.
More companies will now make the decision to lay fibre cable and that can only be a good thing for North West Hampshire.
