It was obvious from my visit to Roman Way County Primary School in Andover that children, parents and teachers are very alarmed about the traffic outside the school.
I saw for myself that the road is busy and as a parent I would certainly be nervous about my kids crossing unaccompanied. I have written to the leader of the county council asking him to look again at putting in a controlled crossing not least since the new developments planned in the area will make the situation worse.
In the meantime, I hope that all drivers using the road will be careful when passing the school and give way to those trying to cross.
