This week I was granted a Prime Minister’s Question and I used it to raise the issue of drug possession. We have all seen petty drug dealing in Andover town centre, and many parents are deeply worried about the impact on their kids.
When I was at the Home Office I devised a 10 year strategy to tackle the scourge of drugs and as part of that I also produced a consultative White Paper on a new regime for dealing with simple drug possession. Like many I would like to see the results of this work, and I pressed the PM for progress.
