From Harm to Hope – a 10 year drug strategy

One of the obsessions the Prime Minister and I share is confronting the damage that illegal drugs cause in the UK. When he became PM the first mission he set me was “roll up” the terrible business of county lines drug dealing, which we have been doing with great success (just google County Lines Results and check the news to see for yourself). I also designed and implemented a project called ADDER, in parts of the country most affected by drugs misuse, to drive down drug deaths in particular. That is also starting to show great results. But dealing with drugs in the round will take much more than that, and following the success of my initial projects, I was given the space and resource to produce a 10 year strategy – which I have called “From Harm to Hope” – you can read it here https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/from-harm-to-hope-a-10-year-drugs-plan-to-cut-crime-and-save-lives/from-harm-to-hope-a-10-year-drugs-plan-to-cut-crime-and-save-lives
