Planning in Whitchurch

I had a really productive meeting last week with Cllr Tracy Woodruff, Mayor of Whitchurch and Chair of the town council. We discussed the various planning proposals for the town, welcome and unwelcome, and Tracy briefed me extensively on resident’s concerns. In particular we discussed the impact on the River Test and the aquifer from which it is drawn, the emerging Local Plan and its impact on housing numbers, and the commercial wellbeing of the town. We have agreed a plan of action, so more news soon.
