Broadband is the biggest issue for constituents who contact me and fast, reliable connectivity is an absolute must for businesses looking to compete and grow, so this is great news. We’re phenomenally lucky in the UK to have prosperous businesses away from big cities when in other countries ‘rural’ often means ‘poor’. To keep this up Government has to work with companies like Virgin Media to get all businesses connected and I think reintroducing the old broadband voucher scheme for businesses, as the Committee in Parliament recently recommended, would be a great start.
