It was with an atmosphere of rare cross party support that the Vehicle Technology and Aviation Bill was given its Second Reading in the House of Commons this week. With this legislation the Government is really looking at the country’s future with ambition by setting the stage for advanced technology for electric and even driver-less cars. Having served as Chair of Hydrogen London for several years, I made sure to remind colleagues to look to hydrogen fuel cells to power this future. It’s a technology that can leapfrog batteries and start a new era of energy efficient travel.
