McFlurry and jobs on the menu at West Portway

Kit Malthouse Conservative Candidate for North West Hampshire dropped in to visit the McDonalds drive-thru at West Portway last week. He met father and son team Steve and Nick Radford who are the franchisees and have four restaurants across the region employing over 300 people. Kit was there to see for himself the enormous investment the Radfords and McDonalds have made in their restaurant and to meet the staff who now serve 45,000 customers a month from the popular site. They also discussed plans for second McDonalds on the other side of Andover at Enham Arch and the number of jobs that would be created.

Kit Malthouse said: “I have to confess to being partial to a McFlurry every now and again and so it was great to meet Steve and Nick and go behind the counter to meet their staff. They are big employers in the town with a really happy team of well trained and managed employees. Their investment is a mark of confidence in the future of Andover and If elected I will do all I can to make sure they and their staff can grow and prosper here.”
